Rosneft set a new record for the daily drill drilling industry, drilling 56,708 meters. The previous record also held by Rosneft – a little less than a year ago the drilled 53,094 meters.
The growth in the drilling performance became possible due to the improvement in drilling planning and management system and the efficient introduction of new technologies. For example, for the first time in Russia, the Vankor field successfully tested a case while drilling with the extracted bottom hole assembly in the conductor section. In total, 1200m were drilled and cased.
The introduced technology of conveyor drilling allows to reduce the cycle of well construction by optimizing technological operations, which speeds up the process by 5%. All activities implemented by the Company’s Well Construction Service are aimed at achieving the strategic goal of reducing the cost and the well construction cycle.
The main contribution to the increase in indicators was made by Rosneft’s large production assets. So in OOO RN-Yuganskneftegaz for the first half of 2018, the average commercial drilling rate increased by 2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to more than 6.4 thousand m / st-month. In June, an industry record was set for the construction of horizontal wells with a unique combined production column. At the enterprise’s facilities, a drilling with a depth of more than2.9 miles and the length of the horizontal section is more 1,5 km for 13.4 days.
For the first half of the year 2018 g. JSC “Samotlorneftegaz” has increased the volume of production drilling by 37% compared to last year. Taking into account prospecting and exploratory drilling, the penetration was 565 thousand meters. In the second quarter, a record was set – a horizontal well was drilled in 16.2 days, commercial drilling speed was 5054 m / st. months.
