Colombian oil company Ecopetrol, announced the financial results for the first quarter of 2017, during which net income for the first quarter amounted to 886 billion colombian pesos (COP), an increase of 144% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The exploratory successes of the Colombian Caribbean Purple Angel and Gorgon-1 added to Kronos (2015), suggest the possible existence of a gas province in the zone.
During the first quarter, Ecopetrol made three important achievements in its exploratory campaign: The Purple Angel and Gorgon-1 located on the Colombian coast, and Boranda in the Middle Valley of Magdalena, demonstrate their commitment to operational excellence.
